It has always been my belief that what we hold in our hearts and in our thoughts can make a difference to the world around us. It happens in a small way; we reflect our intentions on those close to us, and the energy ripples out. But sometimes it's good to 'think big' and focus on a bigger picture. So how about saying a prayer for World Peace? Like this one, for example:
"We have complete and total faith that the universe is showering the Earth in Peace"
Take a moment to say the words, think them and send them out into the Universe. As part of the Etsy World Peace Prayer Team, this is what I say when I receive a 'prayer request'. A group of us on Etsy offer a peace prayer for 20 cents. The 20c covers the cost of listing the prayer and so in fact no profit is made. When someone purchases a prayer, sellers normally send out a pdf photo or sometimes something else in return. But more importantly, a message goes out to all of us in the team and we stop what we are doing and say this simple prayer. It is a growing circle; like the ripples I spoke of.
Here are a few examples offered by members. There are gorgeous photos by Maia Art here and here; while Shulamite offers one of Kwan Yin, goddess of compassion. Check out this one from Honeyteastudio while Rosebud generously offers a lampwork bead!
As for me - well I offer a pic of His Holiness the Dalai Lama (as shown above).
May all sentient beings live in peace. May peace prevail all over the world.

Goodmorning.
I have posted a link to this post on my blog today.
Wouldn't be wonderful if everyone that reads it at least follows each link you give and takes a few minutes to send healing energy to the world.
What a truly beautiful idea HS.
You know I totally, absolutely, completely believe in the power of positive thinking.
Bless you and your friends for creating this ripple effect.
May the light always find you and guide you on your journey.
Namaste
Peggy
Hi there-
This is such a wonderful cause! Thank you, and I am ready to purchase. I tried a couple of weeks ago (your Dalai Lama picture) but Etsy wouldn't let me navigate it. Any suggestions? I signed up, jumped through the hoops, and it still said I couldn't do anything cuz I didn't have an Etsy site? Confusing.
I would to support your efforts here...You can go through my website to contact me or just leave a post with instructions on my blog and I will get it that way too.
Love to you!
May peace lift us to join hands and hearts for all beings. Thank you.
sending up my prayer for world peace
And gotta love the dalai lama
Thank you Carol! Yes - wouldn't it be great? As I said, the effect is growing as more people see the listings - and some of them join us.
Peggy - Yep I agree with you in that one! I didn't start this though - it was another Etsy seller called Colorwoman.
Jan - I think you do need to be a member of Etsy. But it is really easy to join - costs nothing and you don't have to be a seller to join. They don't take your card details or anything unless you plan to be a seller. And I always pay for things through Paypal. Does that help? I tell you what - you could do something even better than buy a payer - and that is to publicise the movement on your blog!
But if you do - remember I didn't start it - it was Colorwoman.
Thank you mermaid. Peace.
Shannanigans - yeah gotta love him! ;0)
I had the awesome pleasure of being in Lily Dale, NY USA last weekend for their opening weekend. A small group of the Tibetan Monks were there. Their ceremonies, music and dance are a mediation of Peace and Understanding of their own accord. They were creating a sand mandala who’s prayer was for World Peace. Amazing how it’s made: such precision through mediation and prayer. I do already pray for world Peace and will add your Prayer to mine. It is wonderful to shower the world with Love and Peace. And with healing thoughts and prayers. Believe, and All things are possible. Love and Light, Nina P.
Ok, dear heart, I will try it again and I will also do a little blog post on it. Great idea! Blessings!
How fantastic Nina. I witnessed a sand mandala being made too - it was at the South Bank Centre in London. Really beautiful and the energy all around was so peaceful. At the end they messed it up and let the sand go in the river. I'm very interested in the healing properties of mandalas. You might be interested in one of my earlier posts http://stoneweaver.blogspot.com/2008/10/mandala-circles-of-soul.html
Thanks Jan.
Blessings
