Ego sickness - it's catching!

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to fall prey to ego sickness?

Imagine the scenario: there comes across your path a person with an enormous Ego (note the capital E). I mean, this Ego is so huge that it enters the room before its 'owner'. The person is completely identified with it – everything is personal, all the person's views are the ONLY ones that matter, it's all about scoring points and being right.

So what happens? You find yourself drawn into an argument with this person cos, well, they need stetting straight don't they? You judge them as 'not very aware' (as if anyone can know another's level of awareness). You say 'Oh they are wrapped up in their ego' and you close your ears.

And before you know it, just like sneezing, they have passed on the ego sickness to you!

Beware. Ego loves company.

Cats don't have egos - everyone knows they are perfect!

What a pretty fluffy tail - oh my gosh. My bro had a cat (for a month) with a gorgeous tail (and fur) like that. It was a different color, however.

I don't have an ego problem ^^

=D

it's funny how it is catching, though.

"enters the room before its owner" lol love it Your whole article is so true and to the point
I had that experience just yesterday and yes at the end I was suddenly "getting my right too" lol
It's hard to get it right. What I find too is that "ego" people are very needy too

I think it is time you came home my friend, to the land of the long white cloud, to the land that shakes but where egos don't loom so large.

Warmest hugs

So true! I guess that's the thing about our egos, no matter how evolved we may think we are, the ego still feels the need to defend itself :)

heeheehee! that made me laugh.
I think ego is an important learning tool and a sickness easily cured with love for oneself.
We need a healthy ego to love ourselves as best we can.
Once we are truely comfortable in our own skin, we can't help but see the world through eyes filled with nothing but love.

I'm smiling as I'm sprouting this as I do have a lot to learn and really only have moments of clarity and fumble about like most of us.

love to you
